Love Them : Pure Komachi 2 Series 9-Piece Knife Set with Block

4.5 stars. Sharp. Roughly no exertion to cut through anything. You better convention safe cutting. Ergonomic fit handles are great. Was a bit involved with the light weight initially, but so far so good. A few knives will get more play than others. 6.5 inch Santoku is the exquisite all-around knife. I like the 3.5 inch utility because it's so versatile. First time I had used sandwich knife. Who knew it'd be so awesome. Sliced thru a multi-layered masterpiece without squishing and making a mess. Fun colors. Very impressed overall.

The -0.5 star is for the huge acrylic base. Chews up a lot of counter real estate and when replacing a knife in the slot, you can get the scratchy metal on plastic operation if you don't align perfectly.
